My name is Maribel Barbosa and I am a graphic designer and artist from Dallas, TX. I specialize in vector art illustrations and graphic design. As a freelance artist, I have experience with logo design, branding, advertisements, packaging design, car wrap designs, posters, and invitations. I am also experienced in video editing and have created quinceanera photo videos, commercials (class projects), and a short film (class project). I've earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences in Digital Media and a Bachelor's in Communication & Digital Media with a Marketing Minor.

 

My greatest strength is my knowledge and strategic use of color and negative space. I take a simplistic, modern, and elegant approach to my designs. I believe art is vital in expressing our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions. While expressing ourselves we create our branding that allows others to know who we are.

 

I am currently open to freelance work and have experience in different professional atmospheres. I previously worked at Commercial Ideas, a Creative Marketing Firm in Dallas, as the Production Manager/ Graphic Designer. In my role I managed and assigned all projects with our team and ensured deadlines were met. This was a fast-paced role with multiple projects in the works at once. As a graphic designer, I worked alongside the Creative Director to complete multiple projects such as logos, catalogs, websites, brochures, and other digital and print designs. 

 

As the Communications Manager/F&B Assistant at Lakewood Country Club, I managed all of the Club's Communication and Marketing. This entailed publishing e-blast, push notifications, and producing digital and print designs for multiple departments of the Club. I also handled content management for the Club's website and Application.
