Quien somos?
Here at Pedazito Mio!, we are driven by a single goal; to help parents be a part of their children’s education and success. Latinos are the largest minority and yet are the less educated. We believe our children have the potential to make an impact in the world. We strive to provide information and a support system to Latino and immigrant parents. Pedazito Mio! is inclusive to all parents that need a little help being involved in their children’s education. Pedazito Mio is in the working stages, but with your contribution, we can create a network of parents to support other parents and help the Raza succeed.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hello! I'm simply a mom that wants the best for her son. As a Latina and attending urban schools I've experienced first hand how disadvantaged the system is towards Latinos. Luckily, I've also experienced higher education opportunities thanks to teachers who pushed me to pursue art and attend magnet schools. I was lucky to have my parent's support. I believe education is important for everyone and I am still pursuing higher education. As a single mom, I know all parents can always use some support and advice. Latinos are the majority-minority yet we're the less education. By creating a support system for Latino Parents I hope we can minimize the achievement gap Latinos are experiencing.
